Second Life!
we thought you would be interested to see that our mail-order packaging is re-cycled in a very clever way .
We found a company in Manchester who collect all the left-over cardboard packaging from major retailers like Argos and make new packaging designs and products with the cardboard.
The cardboard packaging has literally been given a second life!
After talking to Jason we worked out a plan to create the right box design for our internet shop and now all our boxes are made from other manufacturer's scrapped card baord boxes.
That's why you'll notice graphics on the cardboard packaging that has nothing to do with the Arash and Kelly products you ordered but what goods they used to contain first time round!
You'll see description for toasters, wine racks etc.
Each cardboard package is unique and different, how great is that!
These pictures show how our mail-order packaging is created.
Cardboard packaging from retailers arrive at the factory.
They are then prepared for being re-cut into our packaging design using our own die-cutting tool design.
The cardboard and die-cutting tool go through the automated press to cut out our shape with all the new fold details and new cuts.
The Packaging is now ready to be re-used for our orders!
The last shot is of Jason, the mastermind of the idea sitting on a cardboard bench he has designed and made using this same procedure.
Make sure you send him feedback, ideas or orders for your own packaging needs.
